The Viola in my Life II
London Contemporary Orchestra

Soloists from London Contemporary Orchestra perform Morton Feldman's The Viola in my Life II in the subterranean Old Vic Tunnels.

Filming in the Old Vic Tunnels presented a number of challenges, primarily the almost complete lack of light! However, it was a fantastic space to film in and the footage we got when we filmed LCO performing this Feldman piece came out fantastically (after some colour correction).

The event itself was an experiment in audio-spacial interaction. The audience moved around the players as they performed in different parts of the tunnels, with the music being played through speakers around the vicinity. This footage will be used in an upcoming promotional film we are making for the LCO.
